5. Accuracy of materials
The materials appearing on The Pretty Little DesignCo.'s website could include technical, typographical, or photographic errors. The Pretty Little Design Co. does not warrant that any of the materials on its website are accurate, complete or current. The Pretty Little Design Co. may make changes to the materials contained on its website at any time without notice. However, The Pretty Little Design Co. does not make any commitment to update the materials.
6. Product information
Each product is sold as per its product description. The company (The Pretty Little Design Co.) take great care to make sure everything is listed when customers look to buy products, and make sure these are regularly updated if anything changes. These changes may be altered without any notification to customers, new or old.
Most of the products found on The Pretty Little Design Co. are handmade and as such do have flaws. These are a quirk that the company have learned to embrace and as such do come under the company's refund policy. These are not defects that render the products unusable. The company has not admitted to perfect products and as such, has never hidden the fact that the items available are handmade.
UK VAT is already placed on all of items, making sure there are no hidden costs at checkout.
Items eligible for returns are ones that have major damage from delivery that render the product unusable. Please, do not confuse these with imperfect foiling or minor issues with spiral binding. By buying The Pretty Little Design Co. you are of the understanding that the company is a home run, handmade company which does not operate with the use of large machines. Please be mindful that by ordering via The Pretty Little Design Co. you are supporting a small independent business.
Dispatch of any item can take anywhere up to 5 to 7 working days and in some places, longer. Please keep this in mind if you are ordering a gift or need the item for an occasion.
7. Dispatch and delivery
As a sole trading business, the company, The Pretty Little Design Co. issues a 5-7 working day dispatch period to send any and all orders placed via the website. The company will always strive to get parcels out sooner, but give this period to suit the needs of the company and the owner. This dispatch period can be extended at any given time without any formal notification.
The company and its owner can, at any time, change their delivery rates to suit the business without any form of notification. This is at their own discretion and will only increase if the courier they use (Royal Mail as of 30th April 2018) increases the price per size or weight.
The company will always invest in ways to lower the price of delivery, offering free delivery where applicable and beneficial for the business and their needs.
Users of the website buying notebooks or other sizeable items are requested to use any of the delivery rates except large letter. As listed on every product within the website, any user seen abusing this delivery rate will be emailed, asking for an appropriate email address to be invoiced the remainder of the postage and package to cover their order or will have their order terminated if no payment is resolved within seven days of notification.
The price customers pay includes the price of postage and the packaging used. This includes boxes or padded envelopes, any bubble wrap, tissue paper and stickers.
The company aims to get orders sent out within 5-7 business days or sooner. Please allow for extra time if you are getting a customised piece of work.
Delivery times are only guaranteed once orders are dispatched.
8. Design work
The artwork used within The Pretty Little Design Co. either carry ownership by the owner of The Pretty Little Design Co. or have been bought to use with a commercial license. The company does not have to notify the customer of this. This applies to graphics, illustrations, and fonts.
9. Bespoke option
Any bespoke work you have done through The Pretty Little Design Co. does not mean you own elements used to create these designs. Unless the artwork is for business and/or you wish to own a license for the artwork at an extra cost, The Pretty Little Design Co. is at liberty to charge you for the files.
These pieces of artwork are yours and will not be reused for any other customers. This does not include personalised elements on notebooks, greeting cards, or gifting.
These orders can take longer than 5 business days to create and sent, but will be dispatched up to 7-10 business days from the date of your order dependent on the size and complexity of the job and other jobs that The Pretty Little Design Co. may have going on.
10. Work with authors and/or other companies
Any design work undertaken by The Pretty Little Design Co. must be booked in with, at least, an eight-week window between date of booking and date of delivery of work, unless the designer can allocate a sooner slot at their discretion. This is to ensure work can be done with relevant alterations made so your design work is complete for your planned date. Any bookings are liable to a 50% non-refundable deposit and any information, including relevant information and any images, must be emailed direct to email@example.com.
In the event the customer is purchasing a premade cover artwork, the customer understands this is non-refundable and non-exchangeable. Customers must allow, at least, a two-week period to receive this artwork or, alternatively, can book in for this to be done. All premade prices cover authors for changes to title names, colours, and minimal editing. Any additional modifications are charged at £15 an hour.
The Pretty Little Design Co. cannot in any way be held responsible for any damages to the customers life or business as a result as purchasing any item from us or working with us in any meaning of the word.
At no point within the design process or any time, thereafter, is the designer permitted to send the client the PSD file, layered, flattened or otherwise. For use with publishers, the client is expected an additonal fee
11. Cancellation and refund policy
As a customer, you understand that cancellation of an order must be as soon as possible. If the order hasn't been processed you will still be eligible to any eligible to any cancellations or changes you wish to make. If you have ordered a custom product, as long as the product has not been designed and printer, you will be eligible to make changes, however, if the design work is complete, you may be charged for this.
You have twenty-eight days from the date of your invoice to return any item. Please contact us for the returns address you will need.
You will not be refunded for the cost of delivery.
Once received, you will be notified and you will be credited back to the original payment type for the cost of the products exc. postage and packaging. We will cover cost of postage for the original order if the item is faulty from our own production (ie. ink smudges caused by the printers we use).
The Pretty Little Design Co. hold the rights to the design on their site, using WIX.COM to help form a solid website for customers to use.
Changes to the site can be made whenever necessary and without notification to the users. We will always attempt to make the website as user friendly as possible and will continually update with new contents.
The Pretty Little Design Co. has not reviewed all of the sites linked to its website and is not responsible for the contents of any such linked site. The inclusion of any link does not imply endorsement by The Pretty Little Design Co. of the site. Use of any such linked website is at the user's own risk.
The Pretty Little Design Co. may revise these terms of service for its website at any time without notice. By using this website you are agreeing to be bound by the then current version of these terms of service.
14. Governing Law
These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of United Kingdom and you irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in that State or location.
These can and will be updated as and when deemed necessary.
